The Digital Social House Harelbeke is a web-based public services catalogue giving citizens or companies a clear view of what the local administration has to offer, by identifying the public services, (e.g. permits, information and support), by describing these services in a consistent way and by presenting the information in an user-friendly way. Questions answered in a product catalogue include: What is this service about? Who is this service intended for? Is this service free or charged and what are the different steps in the procedure?

Organizations in Norfolk had no common and easy-to-use source of data for planning service delivery. This was especially key for the Shaping Norfolk's Future economic partnership. An observatory has been created (www.norfolkdata.net) and populated with data and users have been trained. The range of data provided has been expanded from its original base to include health and crime related data as well as skills, employment, poverty, age etc.

The South Estonian Hospital provides healthcare for the county's inhabitants, but also some services for the whole region (South-East of Estonia). The hospital has initiated a 'Radiological Info System (RIS) of South-Estonian Hospital' project. An RIS-system that makes digital x-rays and sends them to the hospital for radiologists to analyze. Doctors give an answer and then send pictures to a digital archive. Doctors have access to the archives and they can look at the x-rays without having the patient physically present.

Welgeleghen is an educational project, which would not be possible without broadband facilities. The target group is students in social work and social pedagogy aged 17-25 or older. It is based on the idea of interactive learning in pleasant surroundings, which is why this online tool is designed as a small town with a number of facilities. The tool serves as main site for our students: they can find general information about their subjects, find work placements, cases and tasks to solve, job offers from private or public companies, a library, the daily newspapers etc.
