standards
POGO
POGO standard (Personen, Organisaties en Groepen Opvraagbaar) was developed and includes the first version of an xml-schema and white paper. A test site with web services was implemented and evaluated by the steering group as being successful. In the first half of 2007 the project was demonstrated as good practice during a brainstorming session on e-government for local authorities in Flanders (14 and 15 march).
IPTV
A decisive and prominent trend in recent years has been the shift from global to local use of internet. The same trend is seen in TV-media. The regional IPTV turns television into an internet platform for all county citizens and border regions. It allows the user a quick and extensive summary of the county's infrastructure, refers to additional interactive possibilities in the county and acts as a portal for the regionally produced internet TV. To achieve this our IPTV becomes a multimedia communicator for the town and region.
Intermunicipal e-collaboration
In "North Värmland", cooperation is achieved through sharing services/applications. The solution was to separate the venues of operations for the various applications between the municipalities into separate databases that in turn can be managed from all three locations. In addition, an agreement has been reached that no fees will be charged between the three municipalities. The municipalities can split the costs evenly however, by investing in joint services.
